Beck's Story
Beck is an extremely people-oriented young dog, looking for a home with lots of love and attention for her. She is good with cats, and once she gets to know them, is good with dogs. She is a bit scared and defensive when first meeting new dogs, so some care is needed when introducing her, but she adjusts quickly.

Beck is very good with children; there is no attention that's bad attention! She spent all day with us at a recent event, basking in the attention of passersby and strangers. Beck is a great example of "strangers are just friends you haven't met yet."

We got Beck in late June, but she was actually found as a stray in late May. The family that found her says she was wandering around with a face full of porcupine quills. They pulled the quills and tried to find her home, but no luck. Towards the end of June, she developed an abscess on the side of her face, probably the result of a quill tip left under the skin. Unable to afford the veterinary bills for treatment of the abscess and spaying of a dog they hadn't really been prepared for to start with, they released Beck to us.

Beck was treated for the abscess, and is now spayed, vaccinated, and microchipped. She is house trained, and knows basic commands such as "sit" and "come", but needs some more work on leash-walking.

Beck has been adopted! Good luck, Beck, enjoy your new family. :)
