Becca Bear's Story

Becca Bear is doing amazing on her foster home but prior to that, she belonged to a backyard breeder that was only interested in making money off of her. She came to us very skinny but now weighs around 72 pounds and is enjoying her new life! Becca Bear is about.five years old and a pretty chill fur baby. Her foster family has.a lot of positive things to say about her and are giving her the loving environment she deserves. The following are their thoughts about her.
Becca Bear is very calm and chill and maybe a tad lazy. She doesn’t bark constantly and in fact .", we've only heard her bark one time when our other dog barked at something. She loves food & loves treats. She just recently became interested in playing with a stuffed animal. Her personality is starting to come out as she becomes more settled.

Becca Bear loves taking naps around her people, but is ready to get up & follow you wherever you go. She likes laying on the floor & hasn't been interested in getting on the furniture, She especially likes laying near door ways. She loves belly rubs & pushing her head in towards you when you are petting her.

She seems to be a dog that would bond closely with someone after she gets used to them. She will need a warm up period. Her previous owner was a man and it takes her a bit longer to warm up to them. She does tend to gravitate towards women.

Becca Bear is a very good walking companion and doesn’t pull or tug She actually has very good leash manners and turns around & waits if you need to catch up to her. She is very curious and gets her sniffer going full steam when on walks. She wants to smell everything & walk around the house seeing what everything is. Every now and then she gets a puppy type burst of energy and then right back to being lazy.

We believe there is a perfect home for her out there as she does have a very sweet nature once she gets accustomed to her environment. She's been through a lot, so that is to be expected! We would love someone to adopt her who is familiar with the breed.
