Beauty's Beast

I'm One Lucky Puppy!!!Beauty's Beast was born August 12, 2013 and his story is below. Beast and his sister Belle are the two most ADORABLE babies we've had in a long time! Belle acts just like her mama, bouncy, playful, fun, active, very Lab like and Beast is totally different and he is just a cool dude that sits back and watches his silly sister. These babies are as different in looks as they are personality. Mom, Beauty, is pictured below and is probably pure Lab. One of us thought the persons who dropped her off said dad was a 130' Malamute but someone else thought they heard Akita. Well, they are a bit similar and time will tell when Beast matures. What they do have alike is larger heads than a Lab and and thick fur, much thicker than a Lab. We went through a lot with this little family, Beauty has found a home and now these fat, gorgeous, funny (in different ways) puppies are ready to find their own homes, we will miss them.
Their story: Beauty arrived here 4 days away from giving birth, or I should say delivering by emergency c-section. Her humans mentioned that she was bred by a 130 lb. malamute or akita so at least we had a clue there may be a problem. Well, there was a big problem. Some spotting started and there was some green (usually not good) so we had her in the truck and on the way to the vet immediately. The c-section was underway , the uterous ripped apart and there were the pups one after one, not moving and covered with green slime. Beauty started to slip away a couple times from all the blood she was loosing. She was not in good condition when she arrived, skin and bones (except for the big belly) and covered with fleas, but she made it and the tail was wagging that same night. However, her pups were not so lucky. Their weak heartbeats were turning into no heartbeat one at a time, with a total of 7 dying. We were thankful that two of the 9 pups started to move and whine a bit and were put into an incubator! I'm writing this the next day and the 2 pups seem strong and healthy! One is white (male) and one black (female) like Beauty. (with much crying, we did bring the 7 beautiful deceased pups home for burial) The Adoption Fee for this dog is $350.00.
Adoptions fees vary based on adoptability. In general our fees include spay/neuter, all age appropriate vaccines, Home Again micro-chipping & registration, worming & flea control - a 'complete' pet.
Joyful Rescues has no funding except for our adoption fees and miscellaneous donations. Pet care and vet bills are expensive - you must be ready to take on this financial (as well as emotional) responsibility. YOU MUST BE AT LEAST 25 YEARS OF AGE TO ADOPT A DOG FROM JOYFUL RESCUES

We keep our pet list as up-to-date as possible. As soon as a pet is adopted, it is removed from the list. If a pet is still showing, it is still available for adoption.

Can't Adopt Me? SPONSOR ME
Look for the Link 'Special Instructions to Seller' if you want to note a particular pet
