Hi, I’m Beauty. I’m 6 years old, 48 pounds, and I recently lost the only life I knew.

You see, my person entered hospice care. I don’t understand what hospice means. I just know that one day I had a person, a home, and a place where I belonged.

And then I didn’t.

Somehow, I ended up in a high-kill shelter. At 6 years old, I found myself sitting in a scary place, surrounded by strangers, wondering why my whole world had disappeared.

I didn’t do anything wrong. I wasn’t a bad girl. My person just couldn’t take care of me anymore.

Thankfully, Rescue Coop saw me and decided my story wasn’t going to end there.

I’ve already lost one home. I’m hoping the next one will be my last.

Maybe you have a little room in your house for a girl who’s had her heart broken.

I promise I won’t take up too much space.

Just 48 pounds on your couch.

And maybe a whole lot of room in your heart.

Love,
Beauty
