Beautiful BLACK BEAUTY <br/><br/>I’m over 2 years old. I was found as a stray in California and ended up in a high-kill shelter, carrying more than just an injury.<br/><br/>I had a serious break in my front leg. Surgery, healing, the whole process. I did the work. I kept going. Now I’m back up, walking, playing, and getting stronger every day.<br/><br/>Some days, after a long walk or a good run, my front leg still gets a little tired. I’ll lift it for a bit, take a break, then I’m right back at it. I’m still healing, but I’m doing really well.<br/><br/>There’s more to my story.<br/><br/>It looks like I had puppies at some point, but they’re not with me. I don’t know what happened to them. I just know I ended up alone.<br/><br/>So I can be a little fearful at first. I don’t rush in. I need time to get used to you, to understand that I’m safe. But once I do, you’ll see who I really am.<br/><br/>I’m sweet. I stay close. I lean into you. I want to be part of your world.<br/><br/>I’ve got energy too. The good kind. I like to move, stretch my legs, chase a ball, feel the air around me. A yard would make me happy. So would someone who enjoys being outside and letting me be a dog.<br/><br/>I’m gentle with kids. Friendly with people once I know them. I enjoy having a dog friend to play with.<br/><br/>Cats are not for me. I think they’re part of a game, and I will chase.<br/><br/>I don’t need perfect. I need patience. I need kindness. I need someone who understands that trust takes a moment, but once it’s there, it’s real.<br/><br/>I’ve been through a lot. I’m still here. And I’m ready for something better.
