Beau's Story
Meet Beau. This guy came to us a few months ago from a partner shelter, and my crazy hound loving foster may have drooled more than he does to get her hands on him.

After trying to "fix" Beau the last few months, you'd think she might have regretted that choice. But no, in fact- she wanted to keep him. And after some serious pep talks, it's time to let Beau go.
Beau's ideal home is not his current one. He hates men. (including the very kind, patient and loving man in his foster home) And while we missed the ideal opportunity to promote Beau as the perfect lesbian couple love child during pride month, we are hopeful we can still find him the perfect home, where he can be the man of the house.

Despite living with children at this time, again, Beau's ideal home is one without them. Beau LOVES other dogs, and while he is pretty dense when it comes to picking up on social cues, he definitely needs a home with a confident pup willing to take on a sidekick. Think, Dumb and Dumber. He loves playing with toys, is a good boy in his crate, and thinks cats are friends and not food. Beau needs a VERY securely fenced yard, and will still need to be leash walked (double leash please) until he is comfortable in his space, as he is indeed a flight risk. After being given time to acclimate, Beau would benefit from professional training.
If you have Basset sized space in your home, and heart, for a sweet kid that needs some work, Beau could be your new Beau.
