Beau's Story

At just 4 months old, this Chihuahua/Terrier mix has already proven he’s a survivor. Found abandoned on the side of the road in Texas, Beau hasn’t let his rough start dim his sparkle. Instead, he’s blossomed into a happy, affectionate, and endlessly entertaining little guy who’s ready to steal your heart.

Those big, floppy ears might make him look like a shy sweetheart—and he absolutely is—but don’t be fooled! This little man can keep up with the best of them when it’s playtime. He adores other dogs, especially when it comes to wrestling (his all-time favorite sport). He’s energetic, enthusiastic, and always ready for a good romp.

Beau does have a tiny “only child” streak when it comes to toys and isn’t particularly fond of sharing just yet. But he’s still a baby, and with continued socialization and guidance, we’re confident he’ll grow out of it. In the meantime, his flair for the dramatic keeps everyone laughing—he has a way of turning even the smallest moment into a full performance. If you’re looking for personality, he’s got it in spades.

He loves people and thrives on attention. In fact, he very much prefers to be the center of it whenever possible. After a day full of zoomies and wrestling matches, Beau crashes hard and sleeps like a rock.

He’s still working on crate-training and potty-training, so he’ll need a patient family committed to helping him learn. The good news? He’s smart, eager, and food-motivated—great ingredients for puppy success.

Beau does well with other dogs, cats, and kids, and would thrive in most homes ready to embrace the joyful chaos of an energetic puppy. If you’re prepared for playtime, laughter, cuddles, and a little bit of drama, Beau might just be your perfect match.

If you’re interested in adopting, please fill out our application, and someone will be in touch with you shortly!
https://animalwelfarefriends.org/adopt/application/
