Beatrix's Story

Meet Beatrix — though sometimes we call her “Beaver”… but we’ll get to that in a minute.

Beatrix was one of twelve puppies born on January 11th. By the time we were able to step in, only six remained. Their previous family had already begun giving them away after their mama was tragically hit by a car. Despite such a rough start, these pups have been incredibly resilient, which is why we call them the “Lucky Pups” litter.

The name Beatrix means “she who brings happiness,” and it suits her perfectly.

Out of all her siblings, Beatrix is the most independent little soul. We often find her napping off on her own at one of the puppy stations, perfectly content with a bit of quiet time. When she gets a long-lasting treat, she proudly carries it off to a secret hidey-hole so she can enjoy it in peace.

Now… about that nickname. Beatrix loves sticks. Sometimes those sticks are baby trees still growing out of the ground, and sometimes they’re ambitious selections from the firewood pile. Mind you, she’s only 9 weeks old and already seems to have chosen a profession: wood chipper.

Beatrix adores people and loves playing with her siblings. Her routine is simple and perfect—play hard, nap hard, repeat.

Beatrix is microchipped and on flea, tick, and heartworm prevention. She began her puppy vaccination series at 6 weeks old and will continue receiving boosters every three weeks until she is about 4 months old.

She is not spayed, as we do not spay or neuter puppies this young. We believe it’s important to allow their hormones to support healthy growth and development, so her adopter will be responsible for that procedure at the appropriate time.

Because she is still so young, Beatrix will need a home where someone is present throughout the day—not just a quick lunch break. At this stage in life, puppies need consistent companionship, guidance, and enrichment so they can grow into confident, social, and happy adults.

Children are welcome, as long as they are old enough to understand gentle puppy handling and aren’t too bothered by the occasional teething nibble.

We only use trusted transport partners to safely deliver our pups and dogs to their forever homes.
