Bear Grylls's Story

Bear Grylls is an active puppy that loves to fetch, play with his foster brothers, and be with his Foster Mom. He's great in the car (usually just sleeps until arriving at the destination). Bear is food motivated and recently learned the "sit" command. With his Husky genes, he's vocal when excited and playing, but then settles down. He loves his daily leashed walks around the neighborhood.

Bear has been to crowded adoption events with other dogs, people, and kids and is friendly to all! He will try to chase the cat, but a quick voice correction will distract him and he moves on to other things. He is crated when no one is home, and in a limited area of the kitchen with crate access during the night. His potty training is coming along with minimal accidents.

Bear Grylls would make a wonderful family pet for anyone, but needs a yard to get those zoomies out! He's not a hyper dog, but he does have energy that needs burned off each day. He would be happiest with children and/or another playful dog as a companion. Bear Grylls is predicted to be 50- 70lbs when fully grown.

Thank you for your interest in one of our Hero Babies! Before inquiring, we thought it was important to share a few of our policies.

Puppies - We do not adopt puppies under 16 weeks to out of state adopters. This is due to our spay/neuter policy, and all dogs must be spayed/neutered before leaving Georgia state lines. We do not adopt siblings to the same household.

Your Current Pets - We do require that your current dogs and cats are current on vaccines and spayed/neutered.

Adoptions - We do not have a shelter and are a foster-home based organization. We do require that you have an approved adoption application to schedule a meet and greet. You can fill out an adoption application on our website, www.herorescue.org/adopt. Once your application is approved it will be sent to the foster family that is currently caring for the dog. They will be able to provide information on likes, dislikes, personality, etc. They will also schedule a time for you to meet the dog. We do require a home visit prior to adoption.

Inquiries - If you would like more information on any dogs in the rescue, please email us at info@herorescue.org.
