Bear's Story

Contact 408-439-6170

Introducing Bear, a handsome 3-year-old male chocolate lab. Bear is neutered and weighs a solid 74 pounds. He is a mellow boy who wants to be near his people but does not need constant attention. He is very happy to nap nearby and is thrilled to pick up a small stuffed animal and carry it around.

Bear knows: Sit, Stay, Drop It and walks well on a leash. He isn’t looking for long walks for exercise, but enjoys some fresh air and time to take in sights, sounds, and smells. He is not a big fan of the crate but will settle down in one. He prefers to sleep on a pad on the floor near your bed.

He is well-behaved in the house, leaving things on the floor and counters alone. Bear is potty trained but not the best at letting you know when he needs to go, so routine will help him succeed. He is good with other dogs and will pull to meet them but is not aggressive. He pays little attention to small animals like rabbits.

Bear is big and strong but gentle. He will likely do best in a home without small children, older children are recommended. He has a big smile and a heavy tail that he wags hard to show you just how happy he is.

Bear is ready to show you his big heart.

Located in Placerville, CA
