Bear's Story

To apply for Bear or any other BBAR pup, head to www.barking-back.org

Meet Bear – The 10-Month-Old Puppy with Big Grandpa Energy 🐶🐻😂

Bear is a 10-month-old male Shorkie/Beagle mix who somehow managed to be born with old man vibes… in the very best way. Picture a puppy who loves naps, car rides, gentle cuddles, and being doted on — but can still bust out a zoomie or fetch game when the mood strikes. That’s Bear.

This sweet boy loves car rides, lives for affection, and has mastered the art of looking deeply offended if you stop petting him too soon. He’s incredibly gentle, super loving, and just playful enough to keep life fun. He’ll happily fetch a toy, then promptly return to his regularly scheduled snuggle session.

Bear is kid-friendly, dog-friendly, AND cat-friendly — basically a social butterfly with excellent manners. Toddlers? Cool. Dogs? Great. Cats? Also cool. Honestly, he’s out here collecting friends like Pokémon.

Bear and his littermates were treated for a skin condition and are now totally healthy, happy, and ready to find their forever families. His ideal home includes comfy couches, frequent affection, and humans who appreciate a puppy with the soul of a retired gentleman.

If you’re looking for a laid-back, lovable, cuddle-powered best friend who will steal your heart and your spot on the couch… Bear is your guy. 🐾💛

Adopt Bear — because every home deserves one tiny grandpa puppy.
