Bear - Eagleson Litter's Story
Bear is the sweetest, most amazing boy and has truly blossomed into the PERFECT companion. He is from the Eagleson Litter that just turned two years old in April. DNA test from a littermate showed 40+% Bouvier des Flandres, 26+% Catahoula Leopard Dog, 19% Siberian Husky, and 14+% Labrador Retriever.

Bear has successfully mastered ranch life and peacefully coexists with cows, calves, horses, cats, kids, dogs, and basically everyone he meets. He's mastered e-collar training, is fully kennel- and potty-trained, and has become quite the snuggle bug at bedtime!

Bear loves being wherever his person is and is always ready to tag along for the adventure. Whether it's chores around the ranch or a truck ride into town, he's happy just being by your side. He rides great in the truck and settles in easily. He also did GREAT at the groomers for the first time.

This handsome boy is the total package — loyal, loving, well-rounded, and ready for his forever home.

Bear has Addison's Disease, which is very manageable with routine care. Because of this, he is part of KPAL Rescue's Senior & Special Needs Pet Program! To help set his future family up for success, KPAL Rescue will contribute up to $2,400 total toward Bear's future veterinary care. Because every dog deserves a chance at a loving home — even the extra special ones.

His ongoing needs include:

• Daily medication: approximately $10/month (he takes it so well!)
• Monthly injection: approximately $100/month
• Routine bloodwork: once yearly to monitor his condition

With proper treatment, dogs with Addison's can live happy, active, and normal lives — and Bear is proof of that every single day. He's thriving, loving life, and ready to find a family who will love him just as much as he'll love them.

TO ADOPT BEAR:

KPAL Rescue dogs are vetted (spayed/neutered, vaccinated for Parvo/Distemper & Rabies, microchipped, etc.). Bear is in our SAS Pet Program, this means that the adoption fee ($350) can be credited towards the veterinary clinic of the adoptive family's choice for any future medical expenses (ie medications). Additional funds (for a total of $2400 including the credited adoption fee) are also being made available for Bear's adopters to help with the cost of his medications/care. Our adoption process is outlined on our website: www.kpalrescue.org/pet-

adoption/, our Adoption Application can also be found on that website. Questions about our adoption process can be sent to kpaladoption@gmail.com.

#kpalrescue
