Bear's Story

*** BEAR IS BEING FOSTERED IN LA FERIA, TX ***

MEET BEAR — YOUR FUTURE SHADOW AND BEST FRIEND!
Meet little Bear, a Miniature Pinscher mix with a HUGE heart and so much love to give!

Bear is a sweetheart who loves people and gets along with other dogs. But if there’s one thing you should know about this boy, it’s that he wants to be wherever his human is! Whether you’re walking around the house or relaxing on the couch, Bear will be right there beside you. He’s the definition of a loyal companion!

A LITTLE ABOUT BEAR:
- Miniature Pinscher mix
- Neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped
- House-trained
- Loves people and other dogs
- A devoted little shadow who wants to be by your side

HIS SPECIAL MEDICAL NEEDS:
Bear has been diagnosed with an autoimmune disease and needs to remain on a low dose of prednisone to manage his condition. He also has an old injury that left him with a broken back leg. This injury occurred before he came into our rescue. Amazingly, Bear can still walk and even run on that leg! After evaluating his condition, our veterinarian recommended against amputation because of his autoimmune disease. Bear tested positive for heartworms, but we're happy to report that he has completed his heartworm treatment! Bear also had a recent umbilical hernia repair. Our boy will need a family who understands his medical needs and is committed to providing the ongoing care he deserves.

NOW, ALL THIS LITTLE GUY NEEDS IS A FOREVER HOME!
Bear isn't asking for much. He just wants someone to love, someone to follow around the house, and someone who will let him be their faithful little companion.
In return, you'll get a best friend who will love you unconditionally and do his very best to never leave your side. Could Bear be the missing piece in your life?
Please consider opening your heart and home to this special boy. And if you can't adopt, sharing his story could help him find the family he's been waiting for!

Bear is being fostered in La Feria, TX. His in-state adoption fee is $350.
