Bear's Story

Hello, my name is Bear. I am a 6 yr. old, Black Lab mix weighing in at 87# lbs. (we Labs do like to eat). I have been living with my current owner for the last 3 years, but due to some unfortunate circumstances she needs to re-home me (its nothing I did wrong). I am a wonderful dog that is very loving, affectionate, well behaved, friendly with both people and dogs, big & small. I love to go to the dog park where I can run and play (no growling or barking). I also enjoy playing w/the neighbors grandkids (8-10yrs. old) when they come over and it makes me soooo happy! I know some basic commands and love to play ball, but I don't like to give it up very easily. I would like to find a younger family that could take me for walks and other adventures. I am house trained, neutered, have not been crated, no health issues but may need a dental down the road that Second Chance said they will cover. Ive had no exposure to cats. I should lose a little weight so frequent walks and a healthy diet (not too many treats) should help with that. Little to no barking. I will be coming with everything I need including food, treats, heart worm preventive, flea & tick, a dog hair vacuum, toys etc. I don't have a dog bed but I'm allowed up on the furniture. My owner gets me groomed every 3 mo.s and vetted every 6 mo.s, but you can alter that at your discretion. I hear Bear is a "good dog" a lot when people come to visit. My owner is very sad to see me go, but will be at peace when I find my new forever home! If you would like to set up a meet & greet please contact Second Chance Animal Rescue 651 771-5662.

Bear is neutered, current on vaccinations, and tested heartworm negative. He currently is not microchipped - Second Chance can help facilitate this. .
