Pasquotank Animal Services's Adoption Policy
As a municipal shelter serving Camden and Pasquotank counties, we follow a standardized process: The Adoption Process Application: Prospective adopters must fill out an official application. Must be 18 References: The shelter conducts a veterinary reference check to ensure any current pets in your home are up-to-date on vaccinations and have been properly cared for. Approval & Contract: Once the application is approved, you will sign a formal adoption contract. Medical & Sterilization: No animal is allowed to leave the shelter without being spayed or neutered. If a pet isn't fixed yet, the shelter will arrange the surgery with their veterinary partner before you can take them home. Pickup: You will be notified to pick up your new pet after they have cleared their medical procedures. Adoption Fees Fees are inclusive of spay/neuter, vaccinations , deworming, flea preventative, and microchipping.
