Bear's Story

Meet Bear!

Bear came to AWS from Morgan County Animal Control. Unfortunately his family met some hardship, which forced them to take Bear to the shelter. They didn't want to, but were facing homelessness & didn't have a choice.
We are hoping to find him a new forever home!

He is a Saint Bernard/Great Pyrenes mix, weighing 80 pounds at almost 9 months old. We believe he will be well over 100 pounds once full grown. Due to this, he needs plenty of fenced-in space to run and play; no apartment living for this guy.

Bear is so goofy & happy-go-lucky! You can tell this big guy just wants some love. We feel he'd do well with children as long as they could handle his size and energy.
It is unknown how he does with cats. Meet and greets with other dogs is required.

Bear is a very strong boy so someone that can handle him is a must. He would benefit from some basic obedience with a professional trainer to teach him how to walk nicely on leash and have better manners.

Bear is neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped! All he needs now is a forever home!
