Bear's Story

Meet Bear, a 5-year-old bundle of affection and adventure! This loyal boy is always up for a good time and will be your 'ride or die' companion. With a heart of gold, Bear is both smart and playful, and he loves nothing more than being by your side. He's a true athlete who enjoys walks and the great outdoors. But don't be fooled by his adventurous spirit—Bear is also a funny, loving goofball who will keep you on your toes and protect you from any harm. He's a hero in the making and is always ready to spring into action, as proven when he bravely protected his previous foster's dog from a loose dog. Bear has a special affinity for men and would do best in a male household. He thrives with human company and is eager to find his forever family. Could you be the one to give this incredible boy a home? Come and meet Bear—he's waiting for you! He deserves to be in a home not a kennel. He also knows commands and is just a wonderful boy.

Canine Friends Foundation's Adoption Policy
Dogs are networked for adoption after being assessed by our trainer/founder, and being approved to be adoptable or eligible for foster. Applications are sent and screened and then a meet and greet with the potential adopter are scheduled. If they have pets then we do a meeting with just the individuals first then if they want to move forward, they have an intro with other pets. Everyone in the home must meet the dog. We offer ongoing training and support for life and will take the dog back.
