Bear's Story

Bear, Male, Maremma, 3 years old, 79 lbs.

Bear is a loyal, loving and mild-mannered family and farm dog. He is content to be on his own, but loves the companionship of people and other animals.

Unlike the cautious demeanour common to the guardian breeds, Bear is politely friendly to everyone. He is a very affectionate boy who would love to cuddle on the couch and on the bed if allowed. This lover is an easygoing and gentle soul with a low prey drive. He is good with cats and absolutely loves other dogs, especially if they will play with him.

Bear has great house manners and is completely housetrained. He knows basic commands and more. His foster people, in a short period of time, taught him "have a rest" for when his loving becomes a bit much lol. Bear's recall is quite good, especially considering he hasn't been in his foster home or had his name for long. He is good on leash but can pull if he gets distracted. Bear does enjoy a car ride and is a fantastic passenger.

This boy ticks all the boxes. He is truly a calm and gentle soul. His adopters will be very lucky people indeed.

Bear has been neutered, microchipped, and his vaccinations are up to date.
