Bear's Story

Bear is a 4 year old Mastiff. He currently weighs 145 lbs, but would be healthier at 150-155. He’s a sweet guy with a gentle disposition. He does well with kids and cats and has been around some dogs. He’s working on his leash manners and house training. He previously lived in a horse barn so many things are still new to him. Bear would thrive in a home with giant breed experience, patience, and understanding.

Friends for Life Dog Rescue's Adoption Policy

Potential adopters can visit our website and fill out an adoption application. We then do a vet check and a phone call to them. They come and visit the dog they are interested in at the foster home. There are at least 3 visits with the potential adopters and depending on whether there are other dogs in the household there is more than one visit with said dogs. At least one of the visits is at the potential adopters home so that a home inspection can be done. We encourage walking the dog and play interaction. We talk with potential adopters about training and decompression. We also offer help after adoption with any issues that arise.
