BEAR's Story
"Dogs bring such joy to our lives!" This reminds us of Bear! He is five years old and weighs 50 pounds. If you want to adopt a medium sized companion, Bear could be the one!

He would love to introduce himself: "Hi! My name is Bear! I enjoy leisurely walks, where I can push through long grass and roll, treats, being brushed and having my face and ears rubbed and scratched. Oh, did I say treats?" Read on for more about this great dog!

Bear loves his daily walks and looks forward to exploring the beautiful trails on our shelter grounds. He has a sense of adventure and is so interested in his surroundings. Bear loves to sniff around, look under under bushes and observe what is going on around him.

Bear has the best time in the fenced yard, where he bounds about in total joy and is so agile and athletic. He has so much fun with the toys, too.

His favorite pastime, though, is just hanging out! Bear would love to be in a fenced yard, lying under a shade tree, looking under shrubs to see what he can find, and chewing on his favorite rubber toys.

He loves to be scratched, petted, and brushed.

While it is never a given, we think Bear is housebroken.

One of our volunteers observes: "I really enjoy time with Bear in the play yard. He is so sweet and fun and such a joyful presence! He puts his head on my lap and his warm brown eyes and happy doggy smile truly captures my heart."

Bear would fit best with older children, and because of his higher prey drive, he does need a home without cats.

E-mail ccacangels@yahoo.com for more information!

Please come visit! We are open Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday from from 9:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
