Bear's Story

Meet Bear, a stunning 5.5‐month‐old Husky mix with a personality just as big as his fluffy, eye‐catching looks. Don’t let the name fool you—he may resemble a little grizzly, but he’s all Husky at heart, full of playful spirit and plenty of “conversation.” Weighing around 38 pounds, Bear sports a beautiful tan coat with black accents and the cutest white‐tipped toes that look like they’ve been dipped in snow. And with his natural knack for posing, he’s easily the "model of the litter"—effortlessly photogenic and always ready to melt your heart.

Bear is full of life and loves being right in the middle of the action. He has that classic go‐go‐go Husky energy and thrives when he has an outlet for his enthusiasm. He’s a great match for a higher‐energy dog who enjoys active play, but he’s just as happy with a calm, easygoing canine friend who doesn’t mind his zest for fun. He’s also good with cats and kids, making him a wonderful fit for a variety of home dynamics. And if there’s a tennis ball nearby, Bear is already on the job—fetch is his absolute favorite, and he’ll choose a game with you over just about anything else.

He’s a smart, social pup who enjoys learning and engaging with his people. Bear walks well on a leash when he’s on his own, though he may try to turn a buddy walk into playtime if he’s feeling excited. With his eagerness to please and his bright, curious mind, he’s the kind of dog who will continue to blossom with structure, activity, and love.

Underneath all that playful energy, Bear has a sweet and affectionate side. When he’s ready to wind down, he loves being close, soaking up attention, and relaxing after a day of fun. He would thrive in a home that enjoys an active lifestyle, appreciates his personality, and is ready for a dog who brings energy, charm, and a little bit of happy chaos in the best way.

If you’re looking for a playful, photogenic, personality‐packed companion who will keep you smiling and moving, Bear is ready to be your perfect partner in crime. 🐻🐾

Bear is neutered, up-to-date on age-appropriate vaccinations, and microchipped.

**Please note: completing an "adoption inquiry" via Adopt-a-pet/Petfinder does not constitute an HFG Dog Rescue adoption application. All adoption applications must be completed on www.hfgdr.org**

HFG Dog Rescue is a 100 percent foster-based rescue located in Berkeley Heights, NJ with a sister location, The Almost Home Wellness Center, in Aiken, SC.
