Bear 's Story

Meet Bear! Bear is a neutered 5 year old German Shorthair Pointer with a lot of love to give!
Bear was surrendered to us due to his limited prowess at hunting. His owner said that Bear did fine hunting during solo exhibitions, but during group outings he was too easily distracted. Unfortunately he just wasn’t a good fit for his last home, but we know his next one will provide him with the love he deserves!
Bear does great with other dogs, and loves children. He hasn’t been introduced to any cats yet, so we recommend a meet and greet with any felines in the home before adoption.
For most of his life, Bear has lived outside. Because of that, he is not house trained yet - but he's never truly been given the chance to learn what its like to be part of a home indoors and will need lots of patience and training. He is a smart boy who already knows some commands like stay and heel.
What Bear needs is not a job but a chance. If you think Bear could be the dog for you, come in and meet him today!
