Meet Bear

This is Bear. Bear has had a hard life up until he was rescued by CAMO Rescue and became my latest foster pup. Bear would tell you that he is still a bit anxious but is so happy to have a soft bed, good food, head scratches, doggy pals, and daily walks. He has started to romp in the backyard which makes my heart sing.

This dear boy no longer has to live outside or in a confined space. Most of poor Bear’s teeth are worn down as a result of trying to get loose. He sometimes requires being leashed to go through a door, I guess, because he is fearful of being left outside. Because of his prior life he is a bit slow to warm up to people. He just needs to be allowed to make the first move.

Bear is a young senior who weighs in at about 20 pounds. He is fully vetted, neutered and heartworm negative. He would make a great companion for a single person as he does get attached. If you are interested or know someone who might be, please go to www.camorescue.com and click on the Adopt button.

ALL adoptions require a completed application, vet check, home check and final contract. The application to adopt can be found at www.camorescue.com.

Adoption fees are variable. Up to date vaccines, microchip, spay/neuter are included in the fee.

Once your application has been approved, we will put you in touch with the foster to set up a meet and greet. We are a foster based RESCUE, not a shelter. All of our dogs are in individual foster homes. We conduct veterinary and personal reference checks during the application approval process. We select the best applicant for each dog, based on the dog's needs.
For the safety of our small breed dogs and based on our past experiences, we will not place our dogs in homes with large breed dogs.

CAMO rescue is a 501c3 whose primary focus is rescuing small dogs from the euthanasia list from high kill TX shelters.
