Bear's Story

Bear is a gorgeous dog looking for his forever home. Wo doesn't LOVE his head tilt. Bear came from a kill shelter in Louisiana, prior to that he was rescued from a dog fighter who did an in-home butcher job to his ears. Even through all he has been through Bear is a loving boy who loves to play and relax with his human. Once he knows you, he will love you forever. He would do best in a home that doesn’t have children or cats. He’s the perfect dog for a single person looking for a companion or a couple who wants to give a lot of love to a 4 legged pup. Bear is house and crate trained, as well as knowing some basic commands. He cannot wait to meet you.
Adopter MUST own home

If you are interested in Bear, please visit www.pawscrossed.dog and apply online.

Paws Crossed, Inc.'s Adoption Policy
Thank you for choosing to adopt a dog! The decision to adopt is an important one, which we take very seriously. Before submitting the adoption application, please take a moment to carefully read and complete the adoption application entirely. Please understand that if information is left unanswered, it will delay processing. In order to adopt a dog from Paws Crossed Inc., the applicant (and co-applicant) must be at least 25 years old (younger applicants may be considered on a case by case basis), be able to provide references, identification, consent to a home visit and pay the adoption fee. **All owned dogs (current and previous) MUST be on a continuous heartworm prevention or the application will be immediately denied. Please visit our website www.Pawscrossed.dog to see our available dogs. All of our dogs come spayed/neutered (if they are too young, you will need to agree to a Spay/Neuter Contract when they turn of age), up to date on vaccinations, microchip, heartworm tested, current on flea/tick and heartworm prevention, dewormed and treated for any ailments found upon veterinary examination. Sometimes dogs are being treated for ailments and will need continued veterinarian care. If you choose to adopt a dog receiving treatment you agree to continue with our vet and medication. The adoption fee covers a portion of these services and makes it possible for us to continue rescuing dogs. An application does not obligate you to adopt and can be transferred to any dog. Please understand that due to the volume of applications some dogs receive, we are unable to contact all applicants. If your application is considered a good fit for the dog you are interested in or even a different dog, a volunteer will give you a call within 7-10 days. If you would like to transfer your application to a different dog, please email us immediately and we will tell you if the dog chosen is still available and or if it will be a good fit. Adopting a new dog is a commitment for the lifetime of your new dog! We like to make sure that your new dog is a good fit for your entire family including your existing pets. After a trial adoption period if you are ready to commit we will finalize your adoption. The Adoption fee will be due at that time. Fees are as follows: All puppies (12 months or younger) will be $275, all adults (13 months or older) will be $225. Pure breeds, Toy breeds, and "Designer" breeds will have an increased fee depending on the medical and/or personal care needs of that particular dog. Adoption fees are subject to change at the rescue's discretion. Paws Crossed Inc. reserves the right to deny any application. Thank you for your patience and cooperation.
