Bear's Story
Meet Bear!

He is ten months old, golden and scruffy, and that smile is the first thing you see and the last thing you forget.

Bear arrived at our southern partner’s shelter with a collar embedded in his neck, a detail that says everything about where he has been and nothing about who he is. Because who he is, is this: a wiggly, bright eyed, treat-loving little boy who smiles at you like the world has always been kind to him. He did not let what happened to him change that. He just kept smiling. He has a particular soft spot for soft chewy treats, which he accepts with great enthusiasm and zero apologies.

He is ten months old, making his way to Maine on October 22nd, and carrying absolutely zero bitterness about any of it. Just that face. Just that grin. Just a puppy who is ready to start the chapter he always deserved.

Bear’s past does not define him. But his future is warm, safe, and full of soft chewy treats, absolutely will.

Adoption Application: https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/TGD/Dog
