Bean's Story

Born 6/27/26

Bean is a sweet Labrador Retriever mix puppy ready to start his next adventure with a family who understands the joys and responsibilities of puppyhood. This little guy is full of curiosity, playfulness, and the classic Lab traits people love: a happy personality, a love for people, and a desire to be part of everything his family does.

Like most Lab puppies, Bean will likely enjoy learning new things, playing with toys, exploring his surroundings, and being involved in family activities. Labs are known for being intelligent, food motivated, affectionate, and eager to please. They also need plenty of mental stimulation, exercise, training, and guidance as they grow into wonderful adult companions.

Puppies require time, patience, and commitment. The family should be prepared for potty training, puppy manners, socialization, chewing, and all the adorable (and sometimes mischievous) moments that come with raising a young puppy. A consistent routine, positive reinforcement, and puppy training classes will help Bean become the best dog he can be.

Because Bean is still young and has not completed his full puppy vaccine series, his family will need to take extra precautions to keep him safe. This includes keeping his paws off the ground in public spaces where unknown dogs frequent. Safe socialization at home, meeting trusted vaccinated dogs, and experiencing new sights and sounds in a controlled way will help him grow into a confident, well-adjusted dog.

If you are looking for a playful, loving puppy and are ready for the commitment of raising a young Lab mix, Bean may be the perfect addition to your family.

Adoption application is available on our website: www.puppypawsrescue.org

Please note:

Pup cannot be left alone for more than 3 hours at a time. This is necessary for comfort breaks and much needed socialization for a pup this age.

For young puppies that leave unaltered:
A refundable $100 spay/neuter deposit for adopters with established spay/neuter history is required.
A refundable $200 spay/neuter deposit for adopters without spay/neuter history is required.
