Please fill out an application and let’s get you all matched up with a loving new “furever’ companion and friend. You’ll find the application on the “Available Dogs” page. NOTE: Adoptions to Central/South Texas residents only

Please see FAQs for current adoption fees. DDRTX only adopts in Central/South Texas.

Email: ddrtxinfo@gmail.com Primary Website: www.DDRTX.org

Have you ever wanted your very own pound puppy? Well, look no further than this 3 year cutie dachshund mix, Beamer. He was found with his sibling hiding under a park bench trying to keep warm when the weather got cold. They were both caught and immediately taken to get looked over by our vet. Beamer has a fluxating patella that doesn’t seem to be bothering him but makes him walk and run a little funny. He’s definitely on the bigger side for a dachshund but that just means he has more love to give. He has been loving the domesticated life, gets along great with other dogs, and will do best in a home that would love a dog with tons of playful energy.
