Beaker's Story
Beaker is a 2-year-old, 14-pound Miniature Pinscher with the sweetest eyes and a heart full of untapped love. Life at the shelter has been overwhelming for this shy little guy, and while he’s still figuring things out, we know there’s a warm, wonderful dog waiting to bloom with the right person.

Right now, Beaker is understandably shut down and reserved – the noise and chaos of shelter life is a lot for a sensitive pup like him. But even through the uncertainty, he shows kindness and gentleness. He’s friendly, gets along well with other dogs, and quietly takes in the world around him.

Beaker needs a calm, patient home where he can feel safe and take things at his own pace. A place where someone will give him the time and space to come out of his shell and discover joy again. With love and reassurance, we believe Beaker will blossom into a loyal and affectionate companion.

If you have a quiet home, a gentle heart, and room on your couch (and in your life) for a sweet soul looking for a second chance, Beaker might be the one for you.

Walk-ins are available from Tuesday to Friday from 1:00 PM - 6:00 PM. Saturday and Sundays have walk-in hours from noon to 4 PM. The best way to get in touch with us is by email: info@secondchancespca.org.
