Bea (Jilly Bean)

Meet Jilly Bean, the Spicy Little Princess!

At around 13 years old and a tiny six pounds, Jilly Bean (formerly known as Bea) is proof that the best things, and the biggest personalities, come in small packages! This little girl arrived at Lionel's Legacy extremely sick, even making her transport ride with an IV catheter in place and ready to head straight to the emergency room. Thankfully, with the incredible care of the vets at the Free to Chew Clinic, Jilly Bean made a full recovery. She recently had a dental procedure, lost just a few teeth, gained some much-needed weight, and is now a healthy, thriving six-pound bundle of pure sass.

Because of her tiny size and whatever tough times she experienced before coming into rescue, Jilly Bean can be fearful of humans and is quick to protect herself. She isn't shy about asserting her boundaries, but underneath all that spicy Chihuahua attitude is a girl who truly wants to trust. Once she knows you, she will approach on her own terms for affection. When you finally earn a love-snuggle from Jilly Bean, it makes it that much more rewarding!

When she isn't working on building her confidence, Jilly Bean is a social butterfly with other pups, getting along wonderfully with dogs of all sizes, big and small. She has the absolute best little trot, non-stop cruising around when she is hanging out at the Rock House. She is also a voracious eater who lives for treats and mealtime!

Jilly Bean is looking for a patient, understanding home that will respect her boundaries, take things slow, and show her that human hands are only meant for kindness. If you are ready to earn the heart of a spicy, resilient senior, Jilly Bean is waiting to trot right into your life!Fill out an adoption application directly on our website at www.lionelslegacy.org
