BB's Story
Meet BB (aka Boss Babe)

BB (originally "Big Bertha," but we prefer Boss Babe ) is a 1.5-year-old shepherd/pittie mix (DNA test pending because she likes to keep things mysterious) with a big personality and main-character energy.

She spent over 3 months in shelter and is very ready to be someone's center of attention.

BB can look a little serious at first, but once you get to know her, she's playful, silly, and very engaged with her people.

Her play style is best described as: professional button-pusher. She loves to try to start roughhousing with medium-to-large dogs, and if she gets corrected, she actually takes it well - she'll try again with less intensity, then either wander off or come check in with her human.

She's:

Best suited for medium to large dog friends
Currently small-dog interactions are gated-only due to her enthusiastic play style
Very food and praise motivated
Good for baths and nail trims (a little dramatic, but cooperative)
Not bothered by birds and will chase a running cat, but mostly ignores calm, aloof cats

She's still working on:

Leash manners (strong, excited, and ready to see the world)
Barrier feelings (sometimes hesitant to come inside, barks at dogs behind fences or crates, but settles)
Crate time (goes in, complains briefly, then settles in about 5 minutes)

She may alert bark at people behind barriers, but redirects easily and settles nicely.

BB is not a beginner dog, but for someone who likes training, structure, and a dog with opinions and sparkle, she's going to be a really fun, rewarding companion.

If you're looking for a confident, spicy, Boss Babe who keeps life interesting and gives you a dog to do things with, BB might be your girl.
