Hi, I'm Bayou, a 63-pound Rottweiler and Coonhound mix with a whole lot of spunk and an adventurous heart! <br/><br/>I absolutely love going on walks, exploring new places, and checking out anything that catches my curious nose. I'm a very silly guy who loves showing off my personality with playful bows and rolling onto my back for some attention. I'm also the kind of dog who really connects with his person and forms a special bond once I know I can trust you. I may need a little time to warm up when I first arrive in my new home, but once I'm comfortable, you'll get to see just how sweet, goofy, and affectionate I can be. <br/><br/>I am prone to itchy ears and ear infections, so my future family will need to stay on top of regular ear cleanings and keep a close eye on my ears. Since I'm missing my left ear, it's especially important to make sure debris doesn't get inside and cause irritation. <br/><br/>I'm also an intelligent, active boy who likes to stay busy, so I'll thrive with a family that understands my breed mix and can provide plenty of physical activity, mental enrichment, and adventures. Give me the patience and time I need to settle in, and I'll reward you with a loyal companion who loves being by your side and making you laugh. I may take a little time to blossom, but I promise I'm worth the wait!<br/><br/>My adoption fee of $225+tax covers the cost of my care and stay here at the humane society.<br/><br/>All Pennington County residents must also pay an additional $8 licensing fee at time of adoption.<br/><br/>Happy Adopting!
