Baylor's Story
Photos are of Baylor, our Mastiff mix boy. He was professionally evaluated this morning by a trainer that we trust. He has shown some undesirable behavior on his last meet & greet. We found out that he has a high prey drive (the trainer has cats, chickens, etc.) although that was not the reason he was there. Baylor was allowed to meet the trainers husband on his terms, we let the dog go to him on his time and things went well. He has been reactive to some males in the past. The trainer seems to feel if introductions are done properly things go well, if he is approached with "big" energy he tends to react unfavorably.

So his ideal home - no cats, chickens, etc. it should be a low traffic home with a dog savvy owner, preferably female. No children. He has a very rough and tumble play style and gets along with the spayed/neutered dogs in his foster home. His owner needs to be strong and able to enforce rules and boundaries (basically an experienced Mastiff owner). He is very loving, will climb in your lap if you let him, loves the car, crate trained, house broken and will walk nicely on leash with the appropriate collar.

Applications can be completed online at flgdr.org they can also be obtained by emailing savethegiantsfl@gmail.com.
