Baylette's Story

Baylette arrived with her four brothers, all of whom had very little early socialization with people. When she first came to us, she was absolutely terrified — but with patience, routine, and gentle encouragement, she has begun to show us the sweet, quirky personality hiding underneath that shyness. Baylette is still a bit timid when meeting new people, but once she feels safe, she blossoms. She forms strong bonds with those she trusts and loves quietly being near “her people.” Her confidence grows every day, and it’s been amazing to watch her progress. This girl is most comfortable with other dogs, especially other Huskies who understand and tolerate classic “husky antics.” A well-adjusted canine companion will help her continue building confidence and navigating the big, sometimes-scary world. Because she needs a calm environment to continue learning and growing, kids 14+ are recommended. Baylette will thrive in a home that lets her come out of her shell at her own pace. Husky experience is required. Baylette is an escape artist, a true breed trait, and needs a home prepared for secure containment and the mental/physical exercise a Husky demands. If you’re a patient, breed-savvy family with a stable dog to show her the ropes, Baylette just might be your perfect match. She’s ready to continue her journey — all she needs is someone willing to walk it with her.

Please copy and paste the link below to fill out our Matchmaker Adoption Application so we may arrange a meet and greet for you!

https://www.brookhavenny.gov/152/Animal-Shelter
