Baylee's Story
Meet Baylee!

Baylee is your typical corgi, opinions, snarky remarks and all! She'll even grab your ankles once in a while if she's super playful!

Baylee came to us for rehoming due to a life event. She had some harsh opinions on sharing for a few weeks but now she's relaxed around food and prized toys. Often willing to share and just walk away from the situation if she's uncomfortable.

She's incredibly smart and loves a good play session with humans or other dogs. She really really really loves to play with other dogs. She takes to the younger dogs immediately and loves being their target for mischief. When she's playing with bigger dogs it can look rough just because she's jumping to try and reach them for wrestling when she's so short.

Being cat sized and low enough to take a slap from a cat she happily leaves them alone! She's tolerant of kids running up and hugging her face, which is asking a lot from any living being. She's been around ducks, chickens and horses and mostly minds her own business.

Don't let her little legs fool you, she's always up for a good walk, hike, or an adventure. She's also happy being a homebody/couch potato.

If you're interested in meeting Baylee you can inquire about her show attendance or fill out an application below.

--------------------- About our process and fees

Our application: https://laststoprescue.com/adoption-app/
If you're interested in donating, sponsoring or volunteering please visit us at www.LastStopRescue.com or follow us on Facebook at www.Facebook.com/Laststoprescue.il!

We treat these dogs as individuals with needs and to that end all of our dogs will have been in fosters no less than two weeks, they will have at least started training if not attend weekly classes and get daily training at home with the fosters!

Which means our longest residents will be the best trained, as long as they're with us we're going to keep socializing and working through any issues they may have.

When you adopt from us you will have a very clear picture of the dog you're meeting and on going support!

Our Fees are as follows:
Senior dogs over 7 are $450
Adult dogs are $650
Puppies under 1 year are $800
Specific breeds are $900

With each adoption you will be...
1. Given up to four hours of free training (from the foster and coordinator),
a. Some dogs require additional free training hours before they can go home.
2. Full medical report of all findings,
3. All of the supplies needed for a new dog as we attain these for the care of each dog,
4. A full run down on their behavioral status, where they started, where they are and how far is left to go. This will be detailed in a training plan from us about what they can or cannot handle well and it will be discussed as much as needed!
5. On going support post adoption as long as needed!
We fully vet all of our dogs which is reflected in our adoption fee. On average we will pay about 600 dollars in medical per dog. Every dog gets a full blood panel, fecal/urine check, heartworm & tick panel and treatment if required, spayed/neutered, all shots and boosters, along with anything specific to their needs.
