Baxter's Story
He is about 6 years old. He is good with all people, including kids. He has had absolutely no issues being handled through all his veterinary care, including being in the ER for 3 days. He’s a good buddy dog. He has acclimated well to my cats but he does need to be the only dog in the home. He’s been through a lot of nonsense with other dogs and while we have been able to fix the reactivity, he’s totally fine in passing and sharing space on leash, I would not feel comfortable placing him in a home with another dog.

He is a goofy dog, a chase a butterfly around for the day kinda guy. Big ol bull in a china shop. Wrecking ball vibes. If you like peace and quiet, I’d say this isnt the dog for you. But if you’re looking to spice up your life with a little fun chaos, he could be it ? If snorting and snoring bothers you, please don’t apply, he sounds like a broken chainsaw. What he lacks in grace, he makes up for in a general good attitude all the time. He can be a pushy guy and needs an owner who isn’t a doormat ;)

He knows basic obedience, is crate trained and house trained. Decent on leash and has a good recall off leash. He’s UTD and neutered.

If you live in Southern New England and you’d like an application and to get more info, email us! Caredogvolunteers@gmail.com
