Batman's Story
Batman is a true Velcro boxer who believes couches are for cuddling and laps are for sitting, preferably yours. He loves being right by his people’s side and will soak up all the affection you’re willing to give.

As a young boxer, Batman is still learning the ropes and would thrive with a patient, loving family. He’s already a great sleeper, happily snoozing through the night in his crate. Since his foster family is home during the day, he currently enjoys two daily walks and plenty of playtime with our resident dogs, so a home with time for daily walks and maybe a canine cuddle buddy would be ideal for him.

Batman is a smaller boxer packed with classic boxer energy and charm. He walks well on leash, is house trained, and does wonderfully in his crate at night. On walks, he’s very enthusiastic about neighborhood squirrels and birds (they’re very exciting), so he’ll benefit from continued leash focus and guidance.

Like any clever boxer, Batman briefly discovered that counters and garbage cans can be treasure chests, but he’s learning boundaries and improving every day. He loves playing with other dogs and would benefit from continued guidance on when it’s time to settle, especially around older pups.

Batman would make a fantastic companion for an active family. He loves road trips, long walks, and even jogs, but he’s just as happy doing what boxers do best, snuggling up and napping in your arms for hours. If you’re looking for an affectionate, fun-loving pup with a big heart and lots of love to give, Batman may be your perfect match!

***For more information about this dog and information on how to apply to adopt, please visit www.ncbr.org***

Adoption Process At a Glance.

- Step 1 – Fill out the Adoption Application
- Step 2 – Preliminary Screening by Application Team which includes a Landlord Check (if applicable) and Vet Check
- Step 3 – Meeting with appropriate boxer(s)
- Step 4 – Home Visit
- Step 5 – Adoption Day

Adoption Requirements At a Glance.

* You must be 21 years of age.
* You must have a fenced in yard (exceptions can be made for certain dogs).
* All current pets in the household MUST be spayed/neutered and current on shots (yes, we do call and verify this information).
* Applicants with young children will be required to answer additional questions.
* Applicants that rent must provide landlord contact info.
