Batman's Story
Batman had a sad start to his rescue journey. He and his brother from another mother were left abandoned on a property in AL when his owners moved away. Luckily they were rescued and made their way to Maine and now Batman is growing by leaps and bounds in his foster home. He's estimated to be 10 months to one year old and a Lab mix- he definitely looks Lab but has a furry curved tail so there is something else in the mix! He was very nervous when he first arrived in his foster home- everything was new and scary! But he is quickly coming out of his shell and is a happy and loving boy. He loves playing with his foster sister and would likely gain confidence from another dog in the home. He walks pretty well on leash and enjoys going for walks. His foster mom says he is playful, gentle, and happy. He loves his chew toys and hopes his new home has some fun toys to gnaw on but he is has not chewed anything that he isn't supposed to. When he first got to his foster, he was very afraid of the crate (we think he might have been locked up and left at some point in time) but he has quickly learned to go into his crate and spend some time without fussing. He loves his belly rubs and hope his new home likes to give them! Within a week he went from being afraid of getting into the car to riding like a champion. So much progress in such a short time- he's going to be the most amazing dog! We anticipate that there will be a period of adjustment where he is nervous in his new home but, with a loving and calm family, he is going to blossom and make the best companion! Batman is here in Maine and available for meet and greets with approved adopters.

If you think you might be interested in adopting Batman or just want to get pre-approved to adopt through us, please fill out an application on our website. Approvals are valid for one year and you will not have the waiting period of an application if you see a dog that you like! Approved adopters are placed on our email list for each transport and receive our Google slides that we send to all pre-approved adopters before posting on Petfinder and our social media and are eligible to attend our meet and greet events.
