Bat was abandoned with his mother under severe neglect and abuse. He was tied with a short metal chain and couldn’t even approach his mother. The surrounding area was covered in waste with a strong stench.<br/>The person who kept Bat said it was “for dog meat consumption” as if it was normal. They didn’t provide proper food or water, only threw scraps and garbage. Bat’s life was one of survival, not love. But that life has ended. Bat is now free to walk on the ground and feel the warmth of human hands. He is cautiously learning about the world again. Despite all the pain and fear, Bat never lost his heart toward humans — he was just a little being wanting to be loved.<br/><br/>Bat is a boy who lives on love. He adores people so much that whenever someone comes near, he wags his tail excitedly and pulls back his ears, expressing his joy with his whole body. When a warm hand touches him, he quickly rolls onto his back and gently licks the hand as if to say, “I want to be loved, and I’m ready to love you too.”<br/><br/>Once, he was tied outside, never free to enjoy even a little liberty or the warmth of a human touch. But now he is discovering how vast and warm the world can be. Exploring new places and feeling the breeze during walks are like little miracles to Bat. IMPORTANT: - Must be 21 years or older. If not, parent or guardian must provide approval to adoption or foster interest. - If you are renting, your landlord must give the approval to fostering or adopting, NO EXCEPTIONS. - We understand that people work, however with the dogs best interest in mind, homes that will have the dog alone for 9+ hours regularly will not qualify unless additional arrangements are made. ADOPTION PROCESS: All dogs come up to date on vaccinations, dewormed, microchipped and fixed. Application must be submitted for reviews. Please contact us if you have additional questions. - Fill out adoption application for the dog of interest. - Allow us a few days to review. - If your home is a good potential fit then we will reach out to arrange meet and greet. - If all goes well during meet and greet and you would like to move forward we will contact you for a home check. - If all goes well you will get a 1 week trial period to ensure good fit. We choose base on best suitable fit and not first come first serve. INTERNATIONAL ADOPTION PROCESS: Our international rescues come up to date on shots, dewormed, microchipped and fixed. All medical will be provided. There are no additional fee aside from the adoption fee. Our primary pick up location is SFO, for our Southern California potentials pick up will be in LAX. Adopters in Seattle pick ups are at SEA and Vancouver at YVR. Please contact us if you have additional questions. - Fill out adoption application for the dog of interest. - Allow us a few days to review and get back to you. - Once you have reviewed the dogs information (videos) and decide to move forward we arrange a home check to get your home “approved” for adoption. - Once a flight has been confirmed we will send you the information on pick up and get you ready for your new potential companion. - After pick up you will get a 2 week adoption trial to ensure a good fit.
