Basil 's Story

Basil is a tiny little thing at just under 8 weeks and 3 pounds. She loves playing with other dogs, cats, and loves people. She requires a lot of affection and cuddles. She will be small around 10-12 pounds full grown.

She had been recently diagnosed with hydrocephalus but so far it’s a very mild form. She has a small cone head and her eyes a little wider than the normal pup. She plays, eats, drinks, acts normal.

She has an MRI appointment at Davis to make sure nothing further is needed right now, so she can be adopted. We are looking for someone with reliable transportation, the financial means to care for her if something comes up and a home without young children or large goofy dogs because she is so small.

There is a medicine that can be compounded to take some of the water pressure off her brain which we are having made currently just to make sure she is comfortable. That is something that should be continued throughout her life if needed.

She will have her medical records, come with her first and second dhpp vaccine, first and second deworming, flea/tick treatment, and microchip. She has a mandatory spay scheduled in just over 2 months.
