Bashful's Story

Hi, I'm Bashful! I'm a black lab mix puppy, about eleven weeks old and fifteen pounds of pure, wiggly energy.

I'm staying with three other dogs – big ones! They're teaching me the ropes, like how to share toys and when to stop pulling during tug-of-war. I think I'm secretly giant mastiff, just like my big foster siblings.

My foster mom is pretty amazing too. She's been working on my manners, teaching me to slow down when I eat (food is the BEST!) and how to walk nicely on a leash. We have a big, fenced yard where I can run and play. I even bark when I need to go potty, most of the time anyway. I'm getting really good at this potty training thing.

Cars are okay, and my crate is comfy as long as one of my foster siblings is nearby. Being alone is still something I'm working on. I miss my mom sometimes, and I like to be held. I just want to feel safe and loved.

Life here is good, especially with the routine. I know when it's time to eat, play, and sleep. I still get a little nervous around small animals, especially if they run. I just want to play, but my foster mom says I have to be gentle.

I know I still have a lot to learn, but I'm getting braver every day. I need someone patient, someone who understands that I need routine and reassurance. Maybe someone with another dog that can show me the ropes without being too pushy. I can't wait to find my forever home, where I can finally blossom from Bashful to just plain Bash!

If you are interested in adopting, please go to our website at www.lolin.org and click on Adopt, Apply for a Dog. From there, you can submit an Adoption Application to be considered for this dog. You MUST be an approved applicant to meet LOLIN dogs. There is no central location or hours to meet dogs.
