Basalt's Story

Recently released from a commercial breeder, Basalt was born on 4/10/26 and is a purebred miniature Dachshund. His adorable face mask hides a charming personality that will continue to blossom and evolve in foster care.

Basalt is the typical puppy, with puppy energy and puppy teeth who needs appropriate items to chew and to have outlets for his energy. Good with other small and medium sized dogs, we do not know how he feels about large dogs. Basalt will be learning house training while in foster care and will be refining his kennel skills.

The ideal home for Basalt will have a securely fenced yard as he is not yet leash trained, a resident canine for a mentor and playmate and any children in the household should be over the age of 10. He will have age-appropriate vaccinations, be microchipped, and neutered prior to adoption.
