Bart's Story
Bart is very curious about things like: what type of plant is this, and why have you been in the bathroom so long, object permanence, and what does dog pee taste like, and do I like it (a sommelier, if you will). Bart is a little weird. But not in a serial killer way, Bart is weird in an Unbreakable Kimmie Schmidt way, where he may have slightly different references than you, and celebrate Christmas in July, but you love him because he's sweet and positive and determined even when he's unsure at first. His quirks are WHY you find him endearing and charming, and he's suddenly the support system you never knew you needed.

Bart has lived with dogs before and enjoys roughhousing with dogs that are also a little boisterous, but his foster has found him to be mild mannered and respectful of dogs that aren't into that. Outside of play, Bart is fairly quiet, easy going, and not hyperactive. He is house trained, can be left alone at home, and is working on leash skills and his fear of the fast skeletal dogs AKA bikes. Once he's comfortable in your home, Bart loves to play with toys. He would love an armchair by the window so he can sightsee and to take long snoozes.

Not everyone gets Bart at first, but the ones that do have the privilege of seeing him somehow balancing on your tiny windowsill waiting for you to come home, his goofy face as he accepts the treat from you, his eyes closing in relaxation while you rub his chest, his little snout marks on the window, him sticking his whole head out of the car as you drive, and feeling him nudge his head against you to say I love you.
