<p><I>Welcome! Thank you for visiting Barney! </i><br/><p><b>Look at those fluffy ears! </b> Barney is a purebred English Springer. He is 3 years old and weighs about 60#. He is slightly overweight and is on a diet. Barney was an owner surrender because he did not like their 16 month old child and would snap at him. The child would tug and poke at him and awaken him from a sound sleep and just in general annoy the heck out of Barney. Barney loved the older children, who respected him and loved to play with him.</p><br/><p>Barney has been through Obedience training with the previous owners and is currently working on a refresher course with us. He was an outdoor dog who was only allowed into the kitchen on rare occasions. Very sad! </p><br/><p>Barney is a very happy dog with a tail that doesn’t quit wagging—just like most springers. Everyone loves Barney, from the groomer to the dog-walkers. He is a great dog who would enjoy an active household or one person. He will go with the flow. </p><br/><p>Being that he wasn’t inside very much, we don’t know if he is housetrained. He is crate trained, so that would help with that. He gets along with other dogs, cats, and older children. </p><br/><p>Who would love to have this fluffy dude as a member of their family?</p><br/><br/></p><p><i>This dog's <b>adoption fee is $250 (plus tax)</b>. This <b>includes</b> being spayed/neutered, current on Rabies, Distemper, and Bordetella vaccinations, wormed, microchipped with the HomeAgain microchip, heartworm tested (negative) and medicated during the heartworm season (May-Dec) while in our care, comes with a Gentle Leader headcollar (if we feel it is needed), and is currently learning Basic Obedience commands and good doggie manners.</i></p><p>The <b>first step</b> in our adoption process is to fill out an application.
