Barney's Story

Barney is an adorable beagle, very sweet and loving. Very affectionate, Loves tummy rubs and ear scratches. He is 7 years old, 25 pounds, neutered. Barney is a tad timid at first. Scared of loud noises. He is good with other dogs. Not playful, but co-exists. NOT good with cats. A home with older children would be best. He occasionally has his zoomies. Fun to watch, but not best with toddlers. BARNEY would thrive in a home that has a lot of time for him to snuggle and take walks. He lost his mom due to cancer and he is learning to move on. Doing great in his foster home. But he will need time. Unfortunately BARNEY does get car sick. Contact: Patti@therescueexpress.org for an application: https://form.jotform.com/230096471132146.

Our foster families are our biggest resource, and the more foster families we add to our family, the more dogs we can save. Our foster families are required to provide a loving, healthy, temporary home for the dogs that we have pulled from shelters who have yet to find their forever families. The rescue covers all medical expenses while our dogs are in foster care. We also require our foster families to work with one of our trainers to address any behavioral problems that develop. This partnership with local trainers is essential to making our foster families' lives easier and raises each of our dogs' adoption potential. These trainers are dedicated to savin
