Why choose me?<br/><br/>Update: Barney has put on some weight and is looking great. When I took him out today, he was ready to play and loved chasing toys and bringing them back for a treat. I use an open hand or toss his treats for him to catch because he's not always gentle taking them. He thinks catching treats is another game and loves it. Barney likes to please and sits and comes when called. He's a good boy and fun buddy. Sadly, Barney has heartworms, so he's only available to rescue, foster, or foster-to-adopt. Once he's treated for his heartworms, he'll also be available for adoption.<br/>* * *<br/>Barney is a handsome, friendly boy who's a little thin right now. When I stopped at his kennel, he was wagging his tail ready to meet a new friend and go outside. He sat for treats though I only gave him a few bits since I assume he's on a special diet to help him gain weight. He liked being petted and gave me kisses in return. Sadly, Barney has heartworms, so once his stray hold ends, he'll only be available to rescue, foster, or foster-to-adopt. Once he's treated for his heartworms, he'll also be available for adoption.
