Barney

Barney arrived at NCCR on 7/13/26, found stray in the nearby gorge. He is a bulldog mix, believed to be just 1-3 years old. He was a little shy at first, but after a few days of regular meals, a bed and toys of his own, and lots of love, he is settling in beautifully and has begun to show his playful side. He seems to be completely unbothered by the dogs around him, and usually just wags his tail at them. He also loves to lean on you for petting. Barney will receive a full veterinary exam, microchip, vaccines, dewormer, flea/tick prevention, and neuter prior to adoption. It takes a lot of time to process the applications, so we ask for your patience while we do so. If you see that the dog you were interested in has been adopted it means there were many applications for that dog and we did not get as far processing your application before a home was found. It is much easier and quicker for us to respond by email as we receive many phone calls each day.<br/>We do adopt out of state, however we do not transport or ship dogs. Potential adopters must be able and willing to travel to the Rescue to meet the dog they are interested in.<br/>*PLEASE double check all of the phone numbers that you provide. If they are incorrect, we will not be able to process your application. Please also let your references know that someone from NCCR will be calling them. Most adoption team members call from their personal phone, so advise your references that there may be an unknown or private number calling them. Thank you!
