Barney's Story

You can’t get much better than a beagle when seeking a new pet. The 38 lb. Barney is estimated to be between 18-months and 2 years old …right at the sweet spot of being physically full grown but still with puppy brains! Transported from WV where beagles are prevalent but not usually considered family members, Barney is ready to meet all those people who came a few weeks ago looking for his specific breed. Said to be a typically nice boy, Barney, like beagles in general are great family pets who spend lots of time sniffing out the world.

You can visit the dogs from noon - 3 pm Saturdays and Sundays, otherwise by appointment. We always recommend submitting an application (and a copy of recent vet records for your current pets if applicable) to info@aradopt.org.

Link to application: https://www.angelridgeanimalrescue.org/wp-content/uploads/2025/02/Dog-Application.pdf
