Barnaby #1109

Age: 12 years old

Color & Breed: Brown Dachshund Beagle Mix

Gender: Neutered Male

Weight: 16 pounds

Barnaby #1109 is a 12-year-old dachshund-beagle mix who weighs 16 pounds. He came to MNBR as part of a cruelty case down south. Despite his rough start, he still loves and trusts people, following them around like a tiny shadow. When his foster mom finally sits down, he nudges his way onto her lap or onto her shoulders.

Don’t let the two-digit number fool you. Barnaby missed out on key puppy years, and he’s ready to make up for lost time. He loves to chase squirrels (even though they’re not much smaller than he is!) He’s even tried to climb the fence at his foster home. Parkour!

Barnaby is learning how to be a good boy on a walk. He gets along with the dogs in his foster home, but he could be an only dog as well. He doesn’t mind hopping in his crate as long as edible bribery is involved. And he loves kids!

If Barnaby is the one you’ve been waiting on, visit https://www.mnbassetrescue.com/adoption
to fill out an application!

MNBR adopts locally as much as possible so we can properly support our foster dogs and adopters if the need arises. We accept applications from within the following areas: all of Minnesota, Iowa, North Dakota, South Dakota, and Wisconsin and other applicants within a 8 hour radius of our headquarters in St. Paul, MN.

Minnesota Basset Rescue (MNBR) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dog rescue based in Minnesota. MNBR rehomes dogs from owners who can no longer provide their care and rescues dogs from local pounds and shelters. As an all-volunteer, foster-based rescue we welcome anyone who loves dogs and wishes to help hounds live a healthy and happy life. Our organization provides safe, loving foster home, proper veterinary care, and daily necessities while working hard to find them a permanent, loving home!
