Barkus's Story

Please contact Echo Dogs (adoptions@echodogs.org) for more information about this pet.Male - 2 Years - 54 lbs - Microchipped - Neutered - LABIO
Hello! My name is Barkus. I am currently being treated for heartworm. I will be available for adoption in May. I am house trained and crate trained. You do not need to crate me when you go out. I love getting attention from people. I would do better with older children. I am fine when visitors come to the house. I like a proper introduction to other dogs. It takes me a little time to warm up to them. I have not met any cats, so I don’t know how I feel about them.I like chew toys. I don’t play fetch, but I could learn. I know to “come” when you call me. I can learn more if you want to teach me. I like car rides. I walk well on a leash. Going for a walk is definitely one of my favorite things to do. I get so excited I want to tell you all about it.I would love to find a home that will properly introduce me to their resident dog. I would also do well in a home as the only dog and get all the attention for myself. With time and patience, I can adjust to any lifestyle as long as we go on lots of walks. Do you like going on walks? I could be your walking buddy!
Follow me on Facebook: #EchoDogBarkus
For more information, please contact adoptions@echodogs.org.

Echo Dogs fosters dogs in many states. Visit www.echodogs.org/available-dogs to see more of our dogs. Transportation for the adopted dog IS available. Remember, we are an all-volunteer foster rescue organization - we DO NOT have a physical shelter to visit. Our minimum adoption donation is $350. All dogs are spayed/neutered, up-to-date on vaccinations and micro-chipped. Puppies under 6 months old may not be spayed/neutered. This would be the responsibility of the adopter at their own expense. Proof of spay/neuter will be required!
To review our adoption procedure and submit an online application, visit: www.echodogs.org/procedure
