Barkley's Story

Barkley is a fantastic puppy. I haven't seen any signs of fear toward people—in fact, I see very little fear at all. He seems to be a stable, confident, and balanced little guy.

I haven't noticed any separation anxiety outside the normal scope for a young puppy. He may whine a bit in the crate, but he settles quickly and recovers well. It's not excessive and well within what's typical for his age.

Barkley is very patient during training. He follows a lure beautifully, and it's easy to shape new behaviors with him. We're currently working on marker words and leash skills, and he's picking up the concepts quickly. This is going to be an easy dog to train.

He's also very neutral to loud noises and environmental stimuli, which is a great trait in a puppy. His energy level is mild—not over the top—which makes him a really enjoyable companion. Barkley's going to make a wonderful dog for just about anyone

Thank you for wanting to adopt from Hank's Legacy Foundation. See a pet that you want to adopt or foster?
